The paper makes a review on the development and existing conditions of hydrography for the purpose of navigation guarantee in the maritime administration system, studies the severe problems, systematically analyzes the importance and necessity for developing hydrography for the purpose of navigation guarantee, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, aiming at driving forward the scientific development of the hydrography for the purpose of navigation guarantee.
