摘要
脉冲光纤激光器系统产生的放大自发辐射(ASE)是制约其峰值功率的重要因素,而脉冲泵浦是抑制脉冲光纤激光器脉冲自发辐射的有效方法。文章对掺镱双包层光纤放大器的脉冲泵浦特性进行了研究,设计了一种由信号源、隔离器、放大级和滤波器组成的实验光路。对于脉冲泵浦,放大器设计中需要确定的最主要因素是泵浦功率和泵浦脉宽,文章研究了单脉冲能量、ASE功率与泵浦功率以及泵浦脉宽之间的关系,所得结论对脉冲泵浦光纤放大器的设计具有一定的参考价值。
Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) produced by pulsed fiber laser system is an important factor restricting the peak power. Pulsed pump is an effective method to suppress the ASEamong the pulses of pulsed fiber lasers. The pulse pumping characteristics of Yb doped double clad fiber amplifier are experimentally studied in this paper. An experimental model consisting ofasignal source, an isolator, an amplifier stage and a filter is designed. For the pulsed pump, the pump power and pump duration are two most important factors, which are required to be determined during amplifier design. In this paper, the relationship between pulse energy and ASE with pump power and duration is studied. The conclusions are valuable for the design of pulsed pump fiber amplifier.
