DNA Barcode: A Novel Tool for Wood Identification

摘要 科学准确鉴别木材物种,已成为合理保护和可持续利用全球木材资源、促进全球木材贸易健康发展的重要支撑。当前,木材鉴别的通用方法是传统木材解剖技术,通过现有技术,一般只能识别木材到“属”或“类”,无法实现“种”的鉴别,最新发展的木材DNA条形码鉴别技术为解决这一科学难题提供了可能。 The conventional method of wood identification is well developed on wood anatomy. However, it is often difficult or even impossible to identify timbers based on anatomical features alone. In contrast, the newly developed DNA barcoding technology might provide effective information with higher resolution for wood identification.
