Displaying Field of “Humanity” Literature Ideal——A Brief Discussion on Liang Shiqiu's Literary Translation

作为20世纪白璧德"新人文主义"理论在中国最重要的宣扬者和传承者,梁实秋在融合中西的基础上建构了一套以"人性"为核心的完整的理论体系,并以之为指导,在坚持"人"、"文"互融,"知"、"行"合一的理想映照下,将翻译作为其文学理想展示的重要场域。在这一场域中,他通过对中国现代翻译的批评、审慎的译品选择以及执着的身体力行,较好地实践了自身的文学理想。

Liang Shiqiu,as the most important Chinese propagandist and inheritor of Irving Babbitt’s＂new humanism＂theory in the 20th century,constructed a complete humanity-centered theoretical system on the basis of integrating Chinese and Western.Following the system,he considered translation as the important field to demonstrate his literary ideals by sticking to the merge of humanity and culture as well as the unity of knowing and doing.In this field,he has fulfilled his literary ideals through the criticism of Chinese modern translation,the prudent translation choices,and the persistent personal practice.
