摘要
左手材料(也被称为负折射率材料)最早由前苏联科学家Veselago在20世纪60年代从理论上提出来的,是一种具有介电常数和磁导率同时为负值的材料,它具有诸如负相位速度,负折射率,理想成像,逆Doppler频移及反常的Cerenkon辐射等多种奇异的物理现象。本文主要论述左手材料的性质并分析左手材料全新应用前景,简要介绍左手材料近年来的研究动态及发展前景。
Left-handed materials(LHM),of which the permittivity and permeability are simultaneously negative,were first put forward theoretically by a Russian physicist named Veselago in the 1960s.They have many strange properties such as negative phase velocity,negative refractive index,perfect imaging,inverse Doppler effect and abnormal Cerenkon radiation.This article mainly deals with the nature of left-handed materials and analyzes the possible new application prospect,and briefly introduces the latest advances and prospects of left-handed materials.
