中日佛像发声故事的特征及其效用——以《日本灵异记》和《法苑珠林》为例

Features and Applications of Chinese and Japanese Buddha Statue Sounding Tales

《日本灵异记》虽深受中国佛教文学与类书的影响,但其中佛像发声故事却表现出了与中国同类型作品的极大不同,比起中方看重佛像的神秘性和感通性的特点,更加注重故事的趣味性与灵异性以达到宣教的目的。这也是由于两国不同的政治背景和佛教的发展阶段所造就的。

Though deeply influenced by Chinese Buddhism Literature and such, the tales of Buddha statues making a sound in 〈 NIHON RYOIKI 〉 are way different comparing with those of the same kind in Chinese literature. Chinese Literature focuses on the mystique and sensitivity of Buddha statues, while 〈 NIHON RYOIKI 〉 pays more attention to the interest and supernatural of the stories so as to reach the purpose of propaganda and preach, which is caused by the two different political backgrounds and the different phases of Buddhism development.
