玛丽·雪莱的《弗兰肯斯坦》通过描写创造者弗兰肯斯坦与他创造的科学怪物的冲突与悲剧,展示了弗兰肯斯坦和科学怪物的心路历程、生存困惑和命运归宿,不仅揭示了人性黑暗和道德恐惧,更显示出个人在伦理抉择上的两难。小说以其丰富的想象和深刻道德探索增强了哥特小说的感染色彩和内涵深度,也给予我们重新思考人类与非人类生命体的伦理关系,寄寓着对现代人类生存意义的哲学思考。
Mary Shelley described the conflict between the creator Frankenstein and a monster created by him in her novel Frankenstein,and demonstrated their life experiences,living perplexities and destiny,she not only revealed the dark humanity and moral fear,but also showed the personal ethical dilemmas in the novel.The rich imagination and deep moral exploration of the novel enhanced the infection color and connotation depth of Gothic novels,making people reconsider the ethical relationship between human beings and inhuman beings,which implied the philosophical thinking of modern people on the meaning of existence.
