本文对英汉两种语言中不少与动物有关的习语比喻进行比较,它们既有相同之处,又有很大差别。这不仅反映了动物与人类生活息息相关,同时也反映了它们在不同文化中的不同作用,反映了文化,比喻及语言之间的密切关系。

The article contrasts the trope concerning animal in Chinese with those in English. The contrastive study shows that the differences surpass the similarities in that between the two languages, which tells that animal as human’s best friend has connection with human’s different culture and it also suggests the different meaning and the close relationship between culture, metaphor of animal idioms and language.
