摘要
英语语音自我概念是指英语学习者通过英语语音对自己的语言能力的感知和评价。研究表明,大学生英语语音自我概念与其英语整体水平呈显著正相关。英语语音自我概念能促进或阻碍英语学习。高校大学生英语语音水平较低,他们对自己语音水平缺乏科学认识和评价,语音自我概念较低。本文提出在语音教学中要充分发挥教师和同伴的重要作用,提升学生自我概念,进而提升大学英语语音教学效果。
English pronunciation self-concept refers to English learners’perception and evaluation on their language proficiencies through English speech.Studies show that college students’English pronunciation self-concept is signif-icantly positively related to their English level.English pronunciation self-concept can promote or hinder their Eng-lish learning.College students’English pronunciation level is relatively low because they lack correct understanding and scientific evaluation of their English speech.This paper suggests the attention to the important role of teachers and peers in phonetic teaching should be given,which will help improve students’self concept,increasing college English phonetics teaching efficiency.
