高职新生第一堂英语课既是一堂过渡课,又是一堂导航课。教师上好这堂课的方法灵活多样。教无定法,贵在得法。教师要针对学生的特点和自身的条件选择恰当的教学方法,激发学生学习积极性,树立学好英语的信心,建立和谐的英语教学环境,促使学生养成自主学习的好习惯,为今后的英语教学打下扎实的基础。

The first lesson of Higher Vocational English course is the transition point of freshmen from high school English learning to college English learning, and lso the beginning of College English teaching. Having an effective first English lesson can lay a good foundation for the smooth development of teaching in the future. How to conduct the first English class is illustrated from the following aspects: setting up the new image of teachers, introducing students themselves, introducing courses, helping students change their minds and introducing English learning methods.
