Observing a Corner of the Changes of Hubei Province from Historical Maps

本文通过对湖北省历史地图资料的分析及史书文献的查阅,对特定历史时期的典型事物进行了重点思索,围绕从历史地图看"湖北立省渊源"、"湖北铁路建设"、"武汉城市变迁"这3个议题,反映湖北变迁一隅。说明历史地图与时代发展有机融合,针对相关专题和领域进行历史研究的重要性和必要性。

This paper focuses on exploring typical things in particular historical period by reviewing historical maps and other historical literatures of Hubei province with three aspects: the origin of Hubei province,the railway construction in Hubei province and the urban changes of Wuhan,reflecting a corner of the changes of Hubei province. Research shows the importance and necessity of conducting historical study on related issues by organic fusion of historical maps and development of tines.
