The building called the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels designed by Rafael Moneo was a part of the Grand Avenue Project in the center of Los Angeles.In this paper,the history of Grand Avenue,the formal analysis of the building and the design method of Rafael Moneo are discussed.Through the exploration of this work and its background,the relationship between contemporary architect and his works can be understood.
