Material and Mold——Exploring about Model Teaching Methods on Basic Course of Architecture Design

建筑设计基础课程的定位是以空间研究和模型制作为核心,区别于传统的模型教学方式,本文提倡在建筑设计中以材料来丰富空间的创造,达成材料与空间的一种诗意的平衡。在建筑学低年级模型教学中,通过让学生以水泥、石膏、石蜡等浇筑材料,用制作模具与灌筑的方式完成建筑缩尺模型,让学生了解建筑材料的性能及构造方式,最后达到对空间与材料的共同认知与'全知觉'体验,从而激发建筑初学者的空间想象力和创造力,为他们的未来职业生涯奠定一个良好的基础。

The fundamentals of architectural is orientated to the core of space research and model building,differentiate from traditional way of teaching model,this paper advocates to materials to enrich space creation,reaching a poetic balance between material and space.In lower grades’teaching model,students are allowed to using cement,gypsum,paraffin and other materials,through mold making and irrigation building to complete construction scale model,so that students can understand the properties and structure of architecture materials,finally students could achieve common understanding about space and materials and unconscious experience,so as to stimulate the beginners’spatial imagination and creativity,lay a good foundation for their future career.
