美国高等教育中的城市设计专业教育及启示

Urban Design Education in Higher Education in the United States and its Significance

伴随城市规划和城市设计行业的飞速发展,我国当前在城市设计方面的专业技术人员相比城市规划或建筑学来说,仍存在短缺,因此国内开始注重城市设计专业的建立。作为近年来从西方引进的一门现代学科,我国城市设计的理论和学科发展起步较晚,因此对其来自于西方的学科起源和学科发展的认识,以及对海外高校的城市设计教育的现状进行研究,将有助于我国城市设计的学科教育和实践。基于此目的,本文针对美国高等教育中的城市设计学科发展现状的概况进行了介绍和分析,同时基于QS学科专业排行榜等国际教育行业统计数据,对城市设计的学科发展现状、专业设置、教学目标、课程内容等进行比较和分析。其中重点选取了三所具有代表性的美国高校作为案例分析,以期对国内城市设计专业的设置和培养方案设计有所指导。

With the rapid development of urban planning and urban design industry,there is short of professional talents in urban design in our country. As a modern discipline introduced from the West in recent years in China,the urban design started late in the theory and the scientific development of the urban design. Therefore,it is helpful to study the current situation and subject development of the western countries,and to study the current situation of urban design education in overseas universities,which will contribute to the subject education and practice of urban design in China. Based on this purpose,this paper introduces and analyzes the current situation of the development of urban design disciplines in American higher education,and analyzes the status quo,professional setting,teaching objectives and course contents of urban design based on the statistics of international education industry,such as QS disciplines. Taking the three representative American colleges as a case,this paper hopes to guide the establishment and cultivation of urban design in China.
