Theories after the Theory:On Terry Eagleton's After Theory

《理论之后》是英国著名马克思主义理论家伊格尔顿的一部力作。目前学界更多地看到其间蕴含着一股"理论的终结"或"理论的消亡"的声音,而对伊格尔顿围绕"理论之后的理论"进行的探究与建构重视不够。从"理论的缺席"走向"理论的反思",伊格尔顿表达了其对"理论黄金期"逝去的惋惜之情,同时对以往的文化理论进行了全面、系统、深刻的梳理、批判与反思。伊格尔顿还通过对真理、道德、客观性、革命、邪恶、死亡、基础、非存有等问题的探究,为"理论之后"的理论建构开出了"药方"。而无论是"理论的反思批判"还是"理论的探究建构",伊格尔顿采取的立场、观察的视角、思考的方式无疑又是"马克思主义"式的。这正印证了伊格尔顿所始终坚信的:我是一个"马克思主义者",而不是"后马克思主义者"。

After Theory is written by Eagleton,the most famous Marxism theorist. However,we attach much more importance to the fall of theory than the future of theory‘after theory'presently.Eagleton shows regrets at the long past of the golden age of cultural theory,and gives his answers to such problem as truth,virtue,objectivity,revolution,evil,death,foundations,non-being,and so on.Undoubtedly,Eagleton talks about these problems from Marxism perspective.And all of these are in line with what Eagleton has once said,'I am not a post-Marxist,but a Marxist.'
