Three Thoughts on XiaoXiao Ci

对《笑笑词》在南宋的版本状况提出质疑,认为在南宋并非只有今见的长沙刻本一个版本如此简单,可能有更复杂的情况;对《笑笑词》之“笑”予以释义;对《笑笑词》之平淡风格予以阐释;并在文前附以词人小传。

This paper firstly makes an inquiry into the editions of Xiaoxiao Ci and holds that it may not be only one edition inscribed in Changsha, which can be seen nowadays, and there must have been other editions at that time; secondly, it tries to reveal the meaningful aspects of the word “Xiao” (smile); thirdly, it endeavors to interpret its simple style. In addition, this paper presents the poet's biography at the beginning .
