The Principle of Selecting the Belt Velocity in the VBelt Transmission

带传动中,带速直接影响到带所能传递的能力和最大应力点处的应力值,而最大应力点处的应力又严重地影响到带的寿命。为了充分发挥其最大的经济效益,在带传动设计时,应使带的寿命最长和传动能力最大。利用极值理论,推导出带传动中最大应力点处的应力最小时带速的一般计算公式和带传动能力最大时带速的一般计算公式,从而建立出带传动设计时带速的选择原则。

The stress of the largest stress point is affected directly by the belt speed. But the stress also can seriously affect the service life of the belt in belt transmission. Because we want the maximum economic benefits, the service life of the belt should be longest and the transmission ability of the belt should be largest in the belt transmission design. As discussed in the paper, using the extremum theory renders it possible to deduce the general calculation formula of the belt when the stress of the largest stress point is smallest and the other one when the transmission ability of the belt is largest in this thesis. So the selection rule of the belt speed can be established in the belt transmission design.
