A Sorrowful Song: The Performance of Female Fate in Higuchi Ichiyo's Novel

樋口一叶小说具有鲜明的女性意识,塑造了众多栩栩如生的女性形象,展示了女性不同的境遇及悲剧命运,凝聚了作家的审美情感与生活体验。她的作品从恋爱、婚姻、自立等方面剖析了明治20年代日本女性的生存困境,揭示了女性悲剧命运的普遍性和深刻性,挖掘了造成旧时代女性悲剧命运的根本原因,即封建道德的羁绊和资本主义的金钱关系。

Higuchi Ichiyo created many vivid images of women in her novels,expressed distinctive female consciousness,described the women of different circumstances and tragic fate,and condensed the writer’s aesthetic emotion and life experience.In this paper, based on her novel text,Higuchi Ichiyo analyzed the universality and profundity of Japanese women’s survival plight and tragic fate in Meiji 20s from the aspects of love,marriage,self -reliance etc.,and dug out the root cause of female tragic fate in old ages which lied in the durance of feudal ethics and the capitalist relations of money.
