Succeeding Kawabata Yasunari,Kenzaburo Oe was the second Japanese writer to win the Nobel Prize for literature,securing an important position in the literary arena not only in Japan,but also on a worldwide scale.In the course of his literary creation,a u-nique style was developed,in which the consciousness of peace is an indispensable part,which is reflected clearly in Hiroshima Notes, one of his representative works.Hiroshima Notes demonstrates the author’s humanitarian idea,and reveals his consciousness of peace and strong sense of social responsibility,which could be considered as the real starting point of Kenzaburo Oe’s literary creation jour-ney.
