摘要
目前国内外关于收入差距如何影响二氧化碳排放尚未形成一致的结论。作者利用我国2000年~2012年的分省面板数据,基于IPAT扩展模型,实证检验了城乡收入差距和二氧化碳排放之间的关系,研究结论支持了Boyce等人的观点,即城乡收入差距过大会导致环境质量下降。同时,研究中引入了城乡收入差距比和能源效率的交乘项,发现城乡收入差距过大不利于我国通过提高能源效率来实现节能减排。因此,政府在推动应对气候变化和节能减排工作中,除依靠相关的法律法规进行约束之外,还应缩小城乡收入差距。
At present,it does not come to an agreement that how income disparity affects carbon dioxide emissions.In this study,we took an empirical test of the relationship between income disparity and carbon dioxide emissions based on the extended IPAT model,using the panel data of China from 2000 to 2012.Conclusions support the Boyce's point of view that the income gap between urban and rural areas will lead to the deterioration of the quality of the environment.At the same time,we added the cross term of the urban-rural income gap ratio and the energy efficiency,and found that the income gap was too large and would not be conducive to energy-saving and emission-reduction through improving energy efficiency.Therefore,when the government promotes to energy-saving and emissionreduction,it should not only rely on the relevant laws and regulations,but also need to pay attention to narrow the gap between urban and rural income.
