《观书有感》及其英译文的主位结构对比

Comparative Study on Thematic Structure of Guan Shu You Gan and its English Translation

运用系统功能语言学主位结构理论,对古诗《观书有感》及其英译文从宏观主-述位、超主-述位和主-述位3个层次进行对比分析,探索其语篇纯理功能的体现形式之间的异同。研究发现:这些主位结构形成不同等级层次的篇章节奏,循序传递了篇章信息,增强语篇的连贯性。就曾仲明和许渊冲的译文而言,从主-述位结构上看,许译版较曾译版更忠实于原文,表达得更客观具体;而曾译版对人称代词的使用更能体现人际互动,能更好地引导读者把握原诗的主旨内涵。

Based on the thematic structure theory in systematic functional linguistics,a contrastive analysis of Chinese poem Guan Shu You Gan between the source text and its target texts was made in three levels,including the structures of macro theme-rheme,hyper theme-rheme and theme-rheme,to explore their similarities and differences in realizing the textual-metafunction. The findings of the study can be summarized as: 1) the different stratum of the theme-rheme structures form the different discursive prosody,conveys the textual information and enhances the coherence of the texts. 2) As for the English versions by Zeng Zhongming and by Xu Yuanchong,Xu's is more objective,specific and faithful to the original,in terms of the theme-rheme structures; Zeng's represents the interpersonal interaction between the addresser and the addressees by shifting pronouns so as to guide the addressees to grasp the main idea of the original poem.
