The next couple of decades would be seen as golden time for the developments of telecommunications technology and the related industries. An attempt is thus made in the paper to analyse the background, the characteristics and the tendencies of telecommunications high-tech development with respect to the mentioned time span. As consequence,suggestions concerning the strategies for the telecommunications high -tech development in China are considered.
