摘要 光可变衰减器是密集波分复用网络中的重要器件之一。介绍了一种新型聚合物光可变衰减器 (VOA)的设计方法 ,利用聚合物的热光效应 ,动态范围可达 2 5 d B。这种新型聚合物 VOA不仅体积尺寸小 ,插入损耗小 ,功耗低的优点 ,而且表现出良好的偏振独立性 。 Variable optical attenuator(VOA)is one of the key devices in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing(DWDM)network.The paper propose a designing method of a novel polymer based VOA,which utilize the thermo optic effect of polymer and achieve 25dB attenuation range.The novel polymer VOA is attractive in practice due to its compact size,low insertion loss,low cost and low power consumption,in addition,it shows good polarization independence.The author made analysis and simulation on some qualities of the device in this paper.
