人文、艺术与科学教育的融合是人自身发展的内在要求 ,是符合人文、社会和自然和谐统一的客观规律的 ,也是当代高等教育发展的世界潮流。中国高等教育和清华大学应吸收国际高等教育发展的经验 ,同时突出民族文化传统 ,融人文、艺术与科学教育为一体 。

The combination of humanity, art and science is the inner demand of the education, which aims to achieve the development of human being as a kind. It is also consistent with the law of the harmony coexistence among humanity, society and nature. Moreover it represents the trend of higher education in the international community. Chinese higher education as general and Tsinghua University as a case should adopt the experiences of the international community, combining humanity, art with science, to cultivate high-quality talents who own not only merits but also the spirit to pursue truth and beauty.
