Firm Innovation System: Conceptual Connotation and Research Evolution

企业创新系统是创新系统观从国家创新系统、区域创新系统、产业创新系统到企业层面的延伸拓展,为企业如何通过构建创新系统以提升企业创新绩效、强化持续竞争优势提供了重要框架和工具。企业创新系统是企业内部不同创新要素围绕企业发展战略,由企业内外部的技术知识和非技术知识以非线性方式组成的、存在反馈路径的复杂网络,是按照一定的规则组合运行的有机体,是一种支撑和保障企业创新活动的基于知识要素及其组合的系统性制度安排。本文聚焦于企业创新系统这一概念,系统评述了企业创新系统的源起与概念、结构与特征、分类与比较以及演化与发展,结合已有研究提出了企业创新系统的研究展望和发展方向。

The firm innovation system(FIS)is an extension of the innovation system view from the national innovation system,regional innovation system and sectoral innovation system to the enterprise level.The purpose of the FIS is to enhance the enterprise’s innovative performance and to sustain its competitive advantage,providing an important framework and tool for firms.The FIS is centered on enterprise development strategy and consists of a complex network of different innovation factors,namely internal and external technical knowledge and non-technical knowledge related by a non-linear feedback mechanism.It is an organic combination of rules and regulations within a systematic institutional arrangement,based on knowledge elements that support and protect corporate innovation activities.This paper focuses on the concept of the FIS,reviews the origin,connotation,structure and function systematically,the classification and characteristics,and evolution and development of the FIS.It puts forward and provides the implications for the existing research on FIS.
