Homework is a deepening and complement of classroom learning. Extra-curricular extension on task-based English teaching and designing task-based English homework is helpful to develop students’ language application ability and autonomous learning ability. This paper probes into the designing principles and types of task-based English homework and discusses how to apply them in the design of English homework in higher vocational colleges with?examples.
