摘要
本文着重从风险态度、收入稳定性和道德责任三个维度提炼了性别因素影响信用卡偏好的逻辑机理,基于2011年中国家庭金融调查的微观调查数据,利用计数模型综合分析了信用卡偏好的性别异质性。基准模型结果表明:在考虑了数据过度分散情形后,性别因素对信用卡申请次数具有显著的影响,女性较之于男性更热衷于申请信用卡。在额外增加控制变量以及考虑零膨胀问题后,信用卡偏好的性别异质性依然稳健。进一步分样本回归结果发现:中部地区、未婚人群以及有工作一族(特别是有工作但无编制的群体)中的女性对信用卡的偏好强于男性。研究结论对信用卡市场的开发以及提高信用卡有效使用率均具有一定的启发意义。
This paper initially refines the mechanism of gender affecting credit card preferences from three dimensions,i.e.,risk attitude,income stability and moral responsibility.And then,based on the micro survey data of the 2011 China Household Finance Survey,this paper uses the count model to comprehensively analyze the gender heterogeneity of credit card preferences.The benchmark model results show that the gender factor has a statistically significant effect on credit card preference after considering overdispersion issues,and women are more keen on applying for credit cards than men.The above conclusions remain robust after additionally adding control variables and considering zero-inflation issues.Further sub-sample regression results show that the central region,unmarried people,and working families(especially those with job but no authorized establishment)suggest significant gender heterogeneity in credit card preferences,and female preferences are stronger than male preferences.The conclusions of the study are instructive for the development of the credit card market and the increase in effective usage.
