College counselors play an extremely important role in students' emergencies. They should interfere before the consequences to keep campus in order and safeguard students' interests, which is in the favor of building a harmonious campus. The paper puts forward some strategies on how to improve the capability of coping with emergencies by the role orientation of counselors in the contingencies, including sounding the construction of dealing with emergencies, learning emergency management, paying close attention to the development of Internet technology on handling emergencies.
