On The Force of Calligraphy

书法之势本质上是一种呈现出某种趋向的力。书法之势源于它的取法自然,创作主体则是其主观因素。书法要得势,必须从用笔、结体、章法三个方面把握。

In substance, the force of calligraphy is a strength showing a certain kind of trend. The resource of calligraphy’s force is nature,and the main body of the inditement is the subjective factor. To have force in calligraphy, people must grasp three aspects; the use of the brush, the arrangement of the character structure and art of composition.
