Virtual Reality Technology and Its Application in Education

近年来,随着网络和多媒体技术的发展,虚拟现实(VR)这项综合技术正被越来越多地应用于社会各行各业中,提供更加丰富多维的信息展示。随着这一技术的飞速发展,更多的领域运用它取得了突破性的进展,如城市规划、工业仿真、虚拟演播室、医学、教育、航空航天、娱乐、艺术等。而虚拟现实技术在教育领域的研究也已日渐成熟,尤其是在语言学习、学习环境的建构、模拟仿真校园的应用和实施上。本文主要介绍了虚拟现实的定义特征,虚拟现实在教育领域中的应用及虚拟现实的发展前景展望。

In recent years, with the development of network and multimedia technology, the comprehensive technology, virtual reality (VR), is being increasingly applied to all walks of life, providing more multi-dimensional information display. With its rapid development, more applications in many fields have made a breakthrough progress, such as city planning, industrial simulation, virtual studio, medicine, education, aerospace, entertainment, art etc. Research on virtual reality technology in the field of education has become more and more mature, especially in language learning, learning environment construction and simulation campus’ application and implementation. The paper mainly introduces the characteristics and the classification of virtual reality, its application in education and its development prospects.
