The paper expounded how to determine total phosphorus in surface water with ammonium peroxysulfate digestion & stannous chloride deoxidization lightintensity method we studied experimental conditions,linear scope,and the degree of accuracy and precision of the method and found this method has some advantages,such as strong oxidation ability,long time using of reductive and so on.The method has good linear relation,good degree of accuracy and precision,which is acceptable for the determination of total phosphorus,in surface water
