The resonant frequency of impeller blades in an APU load compressor is a target index necessary to be controlled in the process of impeller maintenance. Detailed analysis is made to the structure of APU, its main functions and the distribution of forces. It is suggested that blade resonant frequency measuring instruments should be applied in combination with the mathematic method of two grade fuzzy universal appraisal. The proposed novel and practical procedure can make a comprehensive evaluation on the status of impeller blades,so it is useful for the improvement of APU maintenance level.
