This paper demonstrates the advantage and the comprehensive benefit of the exploitation of tidal energy resource, discusses the issue of the silt and the uninterrupted power generation of tidal energy, and confirms the feasibility of the bi-reservoir alternation and the utilization of tidal time difference in the project of north branch of Yangtze Estuary Finally, the author advises to promote the exploitation of the rich tidal resource along Southeastern China Sea
