The Internal Tension of Western Democracy: Between Instrumental Rationality and Value Rationality

民主在西方社会的发展经历了工具理性发展和价值理性发展两个部分 ,但这两种理性之间产生了一种张力 ,这种张力是西方社会内部局部危机的根源。本文对此进行了探讨 。

The development of western democracy has experienced two periods: the development of instrumental rationality and then the development of value rationality. But consequently, a kind of tension came into being between the two rationalities, which is the origin of part crisis within western society. This paper analyses the development of the internal tension of western democracy.
