On Chinese Advanced Culture

文化是人类社会特有的现象 ,文化有先进与落后之分 ,先进文化推动社会前进 ,落后或反动文化阻碍社会前进。中国先进文化是面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来的具有中国特色的进步文化。高等学校应是先进文化的建设和传播基地。

Culture is peculiar to human society. It can be classified as advanced and backward. The advanced culture propels the society forward, while the backward or reactionary one hinders the development of the society. Chinese advanced culture, which faces the modernization, the world and the future, is a progressive one with Chinese characteristics. Universities and colleges should be the bases where advanced culture is built and spread.
