On Intensifying the Education of Ideal and Belief in the New Era

中国共产党的理想信念教育是革命和建设取得胜利的强大的精神动力和根本保证。而目前由于在国际国内诸多不利因素的影响下 ,理想信念教育削弱了 ,一些人的理想信念发生了动摇 ,这对我们改革开放和社会主义现代化建设是极其不利的。因此 ,在新的历史时期突出加强理想信念教育是十分必要的。

The education of ideal and belief of the Chinese Communist Party is a strong spiritual impetus and basic guarantee for the revolution and construction of China to win success. Presently, however, under the influence of many unfavorable international and domestic factors, the education of Communist ideal and belief has weakened. The Communist ideal and belief of some people are beginning to waver. This is very unfavorable for our opening to the outside world and socialist construction of modernization. In the new historic era, therefore, it is absolutely necessary to emphasize and intensify the education of high ideal and firm conviction.
