摘要
品特的两幕剧《旧时光》,动作极简,几乎全由回忆铺陈情节,人物亦呈现漫画式特征。然而,情节的碎片似可拼接,悬念的构筑似可终获解答,呈现出精巧的佳构剧特点。沿着这一传统所产生的观剧期待,在剧情推进过程中却屡遭挫败——对于佳构剧样式,品特只是给予戏拟式的继承,更多的是反叛和扭曲。分析之下,荒诞派戏剧和电影技法都对品特的创作产生了不小的影响。而因袭与背叛间产生的戏剧效果,则是令观众对人类记忆的可靠性、时间的多维度、空间的拓展都产生思考。
Old Times is a Pinteresque play with little actions,the story of which relies mainly on the memories of three characters who are more abstract than tangible.However,with the hinted possibility of patching different memories together,the play reminds the audience of,and elicits expectations for the tradition of well-made plays.But such expectations are bound to be frustrated.Pinter more parodied the genre with betrayal and distortion.Influences to his creation might be found in both the absurdist plays and movie techniques.Stage effects generated thereby include contemplations on the reliability of human memories,possible multi-dimension of time and the enlargement of theatrical spaces on the part of the audience.
