Pterocarya stenoptera var. heterophyllus Y.J.Fei is a new male sterility variety of Pterocarya Kunth. It was founded in 2000, originated at Jingzhou City. Its leafage is heteromorphic, with simple leaf or irregular imparipinnate(or paripinnate) compound leaves which are from 2 to 5 folioles. Flowering season is from March 29 to April 15, fruiting season from April 10 to May 5.Staminode is bracteal, male is sterility and premature nut drops in early May.
