关于《植物学报》改版问题的几点思考

Some suggestions for improvement of Acta Botanica Sinica

在编委会的正确领导和编辑部的不懈努力下 ,《植物学报》已取得重大成功。要继续提高其质量 ,可建立 2步走的奋斗目标 :近期 ,争取由SCI外围跨入SCI源刊 ;比较长远的目标是办成真正具有国际水平的刊物。欲达此目的 ,关键在于逐步推进刊物的英文化。此外 ,应力争稿件来源的国际化 ,编委会和审稿专家的国际化 ,并组建精通外文的编辑部以及使录排、印刷。

During the recent past years Acta Botanica Sinica has gained a great success and become an SCI search journal with the highest IF among all biological journals in China. However, there is still a long way for it to be a high quality international journal. Some suggestions therefore are made for further improvement of the journal in the future. The improvement could be carried out in two steps: the first step is to make Acta Botanica Sinica an SCI journal. For this purpose the key point is to encourage all authors to write their papers in English, so that most scientists in the world can read and understand Chinese work. The second step is to qualify Acta Botanica Sinica as a widely accepted international journal. For this purpose more work needs to be done, including: 1) attracting foreign authors to submit their manuscripts to Acta Botanica Sinica; 2) increasing international members of the Editorial Board and reviewers; 3) inviting editors who are expert in English language to guarantee the writing quality of the manuscripts;4) improving the printing,design and binding of the journal.
