文献中词频分布规律的研究

STUDY OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF WORDS IN ENGLISH TEXT

本文首先对Ｚｉｐｆ定律与Ｂｏｏｔｈ定律之间的联系与差别进行了仔细地讨论，接着给出了一个描述词频分布的新公式。新公式在较高频段同Ｚｉｐｆ定律相一致，而在低频段同Ｂｏｏｔｈ定律相一致，是一个描述词频分布规律的更一般公式。

First,the differences between Zipf’s law and Booth’s lax is discussed carefully.The conclusion shows that Zipf’s law is more suitable for high fr-equency words and Booth’s law is more suitable for loW frequency words in English text.Next,a new formula for the distribution of words in text is gi-ven。The new formula is equivalent to Zipf’s law for high frequency words and equivalent to Booth’s law for low frequency words,so the new formula is a more general one for the distribution of words.
