摘要
从歧义定义的演进及其产生的原因出发,以语用落脚点,论述了英语歧义的四种美学功能,认为歧义的积极利用可提高表达效果,使表达显得生动、形象。
From the development of the definition of ambiguity in English and the causes of forming ambiguity,this paper progmatically deals with four aesthetic functions of ambiguity in English,holding that the appropriate use of ambiguity can improve our expression,and making it lively and vivid.
