摘要
本文在探讨断裂宏观特征的基础上,着重从物探和钻探资料及断裂物质测年方面探讨本区断裂在第四纪时期的活动性。得出该区断裂虽然很发育,但它们的活动时间最晚也发生在晚更新世晚期。该区及其附近地区自1372—1990年共发生过9次4.5级以上地震。但它们多发生在该区的边缘断裂带中。真正发生在区内的仅有两次,微震也很少,并且不成带分布。但该区高温热泉较多,反映本区地壳能量主要通过热能方式释放。
The Quaternary activities of the faults in Zhuhai City are discussed on
the bases of analyses of macroscopic characteristics of the faults and studies of
data from geophysical prospecting,drilling and thermoluminescense dating.The
results show that the last activities of the faults occurred in the later part of the
Late-Pleistocene.No evidence of Holocene faulting has been found yet.This indi-
cates that this region has been rather stable since 10,000 a B.P.Nine earthquakes
of Ms≥4.5 occurred in this region and its neighboring areas from 1372 to 1990
A.D;but they mainly occurred in the bordering fault zones and only two took
place within this region.Also,microearthquakes are few and are not distributed
in a zone.However,there are many high-temperature springs in the area.The
presence of these hot springs indicates that the energy of the crust in this region
is mainly released through the form of heat energy.
When planning location for urban buildings and large engineering constructions,
we should avoid the sites on the large-scale bordering faults trending NE and NW
if possible,in order to reduce the costs of dealing with the potential quantity of
broken foundations caused by movement along these faults.Because the remaining
fault activities are of small-scale and weak,so long as we pay our attention
to dealing with the broken foundation in the building area,the unfavorable factor
will be turned into a favorable factor and the best use of land resources can be
made.
