An Analysis of Han Fei's Perspectives of Reason and Desire

韩非继承和发展了黄老之学的理欲观。他以“生”与“治”为人生最大的希求 ,从而构建了以法、术、势为统治术 ,以圣无欲体道 ,众有欲循理 ,而宗归自然之道的道、法合流的理欲观体系。

Han Fei inherited and developed the perspectives of reason and desire of Huan-Law Teachings. He took “life” and “rule” as the life-long pursuits and thus constructed his art of rule of law, statecraft, and authority. The emperors without desires embodied dao while the masses with desire followed reason. Thus a system of reason and desire perspectives with dao and law integrated naturally is developed, containing many revealing substance.
