摘要
本文通过梳理国外关于学术工作变化新特点和新趋势的文献,分析了在新公共管理理念的影响下,大学教师工作的变化,包括制度环境、大学教师应对策略以及对于参与决策和学术自由的理解的变化。本文认为,有关这些变化的争论本身即是大学教师对学术工作理解的重构过程,在这个过程中,围绕学术工作新特点的多元对话尤为重要。更为重要的是,如何将我国高等教育发展的议题置于这些已有研究成果的框架中,进行更为深入、充分的探讨,如何超越借鉴国际经验,发展出我国学术工作的特色路径。
Based on a thorough review of the existing literature on the characteristics and new tendencies of academic work, this paper analyzed the changes of academia in the discourse of new public management. These changes center on the institutional milieus, faculty ’ s reactive strategies and understandings about academic freedom and participation in governance. The study holds that these richly textured and carefully argued debates are a crucial part of reconstructing the academia among the faculty. Maintaining a mechanism of multi-layered and open-minded dialogue is necessary and critical in this process. More importantly, how to embed China ’ s higher education issues into the existing scholarship, and how to draw upon the international experience so as to develop an academia with Chinese characteristics are two main questions for further study.
