数据库检索效率的提高是数据库设计和使用者追求的目标之一。索引的使用可以大大提高数据库的检索效率,保证数据的唯一性。聚簇索引和非聚簇索引是SQL Server 2000中索引的两种组织方式,在不改变索引模型的情况下,通过对两种索引定义和使用等的探讨,结合实践研究了提高索引使用效率的方法和基本的原则。

It is one of the purpose to raise the efficiency of the retrieval which the designer and user chase .Using index can raise efficiency of the retrieval and guarantee the uniqueness of the database .Clustered index and nonclustered index are the two patterns index of the SQL SERVER 2000.Through investigating the definition and practice of the two type indexes,this paper researches the method and basic principle to raise the efficiency of the indexes without changing the pattern of the indexes.
