摘要
本文根据英语学科自身的特点,结合大学英语教学大纲,主要论述大学英语课堂教学中素质教育的内容。笔者认为大学英语课堂教学中素质教育的内容,主要是让学生在打好语言基础的同时,通过听、说、读、写、译五方面的语言实践活动去培养学生英语语言综合应用能力,在教学中应注重培养学生的社会文化能力,扩大知识面,提高文化素养并有意识地帮助学生掌握科学的语言学习方法,培养自主学习的能力。
According to the features of English course itself and with the English teaching syllabus in mind,the author states her understanding of quality-oriented education in English teaching.Besides the five basic language skills,great emphasis should be put on how to activate students'social cultural awareness,enrich their knowledge,enhance their educational level,help them intentionally use scientific language learning methods and develop self-taught ability.
