The Relationship Between Overlords of Han Nationality and Mongolian Imperial Government, Yanching Province and Darugaci

绝大多数汉人世侯都忠实履行了蒙廷规定的纳质、助军、输粮、设驿、编户籍等义务 ;燕京行台统辖、监临中原诸郡 ,汉人世侯听命于燕京行台 ,出征纳赋 ;汉人世侯与达鲁花赤的关系普遍不协调 ,经常发生矛盾。

Most overlords of Han nationality faithfully perform the responsibilities stipulated by the Mongolian imperial government including military service, transporting grains, establishing post stations, compiling census register and submitting the family member to be hostage etc. The Mongolian imperial government rule over and supervise the provinces of the Central Plains while the overlords of Han nationality are subjected to the Mongolian imperial government and are obliged to serve in the army and pay tax. At that time the overlords of Han nationality and Darugaci were not on good terms and conflicts occurred frequently between them.
