Two areas of ergonomics related to forest harvesting are (1) vib-ration, low-frequency whole-body vibration in especial, may have adetrimental effect on the health and performance of forest equipmentoperators, and the design of harvesting machines for the improve-ment of vibration, and (2) the assesment of physiological stressimposed upon the worker by his tasks.
