本文探讨圣经中的音乐美学思想,显示希伯来文化何以在频频发布形象禁忌的律令下,能赋予音乐以无上的殊荣。从日常生活的层面来看,音乐和人类生活的喜怒哀乐息息相通。从战争层面看,音乐鼓舞士气为不可或缺。尤其是音乐可以假道迷狂,同神直接交往。故在对于上帝耶和华的一切赞美形式中,音乐有充分的理由独占魁首。此外,比较《旧约》的音乐崇拜和热诚,《新约》对音乐显出的明显的保守态度,亦可揭示犹太教和基督教传统文化态度和美学趣味上一些耐人寻味的差异。

In the context of a musical aesthetics,this paper is trying to illustrate why music enjoys the most prestigious position while visual image is vehemently prohibited in the Hebrew biblical world.Some examples are music is closely link human emotional experiences in daily life,encourages morale in the combat,and especially, communicate with the God though an enthusiastic condition. However,the obvious conservative musical attitude in the New Testament may reveal the subtle difference in cultural and aesthetical taste between Judaism and Christianity.
