摘要 Duplication of alimentary canal is a well- known entity seen commonly in the abdomen and the thorax. Esophageal duplications are the second most common ones after the ideal duplications, but those in the neck are rarer- only 8 cases ha ve been seen earlier. Cervical esophageal duplication in its isolated form causi ng torticollis and other chronic pressure symptoms has not been reported previou sly. Here, the authors present a 3- year- old male patient who had cystic dupl ication of the esophagus in the neck associated with the cervical vertebral defe ct and Homer syndrome. The authors hereby discuss the various embryological theo ries of etiopathogenesis of this malformation in brief.
